Working With Wine Producers: A Look Inside Long-Term Partnerships

Logistics is not just transport - it’s part of the winemaking story.

Behind every bottle of wine, there is a producer who has invested time, patience, and skill. Years of cultivation, careful blending, and thoughtful aging lead to a product that carries identity, terroir, and emotion.

So when wine moves - from vineyard to warehouse to market - the logistics must respect that work. That is why long-term partnerships matter.

More Than a Shipment — A Shared Commitment to Quality

At Tschudi Logistics, we have worked with wine producers across Europe for decades. Many of these relationships began with a single request: a few pallets from France, a seasonal shipment from Spain, a new distribution opportunity in the Nordics.

What grew over time were more than logistics routines. They became strong, ongoing partnerships built on:

  • Consistent communication
  • Shared planning and transparency
  • Understanding the product, not just the cargo
  • Mutual respect for craftsmanship

We are proud of that. Because when a producer trusts us with their wine, they trust us with their work.

Our Managing Director in Norway, Christian Klemmetsen, explains it simply:

“A wine shipment isn’t just another pallet to us. We know the story behind it. The people behind it. We treat it with the respect it deserves.”

This closeness - to the product and to the producers - is what allows us to support not only transportation, but the growth of our customers’ business.

Partnerships That Grow Over Time

When producers expand to new markets, introduce new vintages, or need flexibility in seasonal flows, we adapt with them.

Some of our winery partners began with small volumes and now ship regularly through our consolidation model. Others rely on us to support distribution into the Nordics, where documentation and taxes require precision and experience.

These are mutual growth stories. And we value every one of them.

Because Wine Deserves Care All the Way to the Customer

Logistics can be technical. But it is also human.

It is relationships, knowledge, timing, and trust.

We are grateful to the producers who choose to work with us — and we look forward to supporting many more journeys from vineyard to market.
