Hotel Modules to Iceland – Delivered Ahead of Schedule
At Tschudi Logistics, we recently completed a complex and rewarding project involving the transport of 132 prefabricated hotel modules from Moelv, Norway to the Icelandic port of Þorlákshöfn. The assignment also included the delivery of supplementary construction materials, making this a significant and logistically demanding operation.

The total cargo volume amounted to over 1,025 tons and nearly 12,700 cubic meters, spread across two consecutive sea voyages. Our responsibility covered the entire transport chain from the factory door at Moelven Byggmodul AS in Moelv to the port in Iceland — a full-service solution that once again demonstrates our ability to manage large-scale projects with precision and efficiency.
The project began with the coordination of 132 truck transports from Moelv to Drammen Port, a process that took 17 days to complete. Once at the port, we managed the interim storage, handling, and loading of all units onto the vessel MV Link Sun. Two consecutive sailings were arranged from Drammen to Þorlákshöfn, with each step of the operation carefully timed and executed to ensure a smooth flow from land to sea.
From start to finish, the project was completed in just 45 days — and we’re proud to say that everything was delivered five days ahead of the agreed schedule. In a world where time is money, and where construction timelines depend on reliable logistics, this early delivery underlines what we strive for every day: predictability, performance, and partnership.
This successful operation reflects our commitment to offering tailored logistics solutions across borders, modes of transport, and complex requirements. With every project, we aim not only to deliver cargo, but to deliver confidence.
If you're looking for a logistics partner that takes full ownership and delivers on time — or even ahead of time — we're ready to help.
